Historian Ardalan wins award from Florida Historical Society

Christine Ardalan, nurse and historian, has been presented with the Arthur W. Thompson award for the most outstanding article in the Florida Historical Quarterly, the scholarly publication of the Florida Historical Society. Ardalan's article is entitled "The hidden history of the Florida-born, early progressive nurse leader: Mary E. MacDonald Carter. The article details the personal and professional journal of Carter, who was born in Central Florida, served in the Spanish-American War, and then became a leader in public health efforts in south Florida. Congratulations to Dr. Ardalan.
